The Fisher College of Business MBA program at The Ohio State University is pleased to announce a special scholarship opportunity open only to applicants from South or Central America. The special scholarship is being awarded to students who are citizens of a South American or Central American country, who plan to begin study in September of 2007 and who submit a completed application by February 28th.

This scholarship will provide a deserving student with a graduate assistantship, plus a generous cash award of $14,000 (USD) per year for both years of the program. Together, these awards will cover virtually all costs of the Fisher MBA program. The assistantship, which will fund half of your tuition cost and requires ten hours of administrative work per week in support of the MBA program. Additionally, you will receive a living stipend of $580 per month during the nine months that school is in session. The $14,000 cash award should cover most remaining costs for the student who is selected to receive the scholarship.

You may already recognize The Ohio State University as the largest university in the United States, and the Fisher MBA program as a program recognized for excellence by numerous publications including Business Week, The Economist and U.S. News and World Report. The MBA program is a traditional two-year program with one of the best job placement records of any leading MBA program. And whether or not a student is selected to receive the special scholarship for South American Students, most students admitted to the Fisher MBA program will receive some kind of financial support.

Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree from a four-year program in any major, and the following criteria will be considered in making the award:

Passion for Business

Despite being a very well-known and highly regarded MBA program in the United States, the Fisher program presently receives only a few applications from South and Central America each year. We hope that this award will encourage more applications from South and Central America.
