La Oficina de Relaciones Internacionales se permite informar que se ofrece Beca en Israel para un curso llamado Groundwater Exploration, Water Resource Exploration and Conservation, en el Instituto: The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Quality Sciences, Division for External Studies, Rehovot.
El curso iniciará el 02 de noviembre de 2005 y finalizará el 08 de febrero de 2006, idioma requerido Inglés.

The course covers the techniques and methods relevant to the development and management of groundwater resources, including geological considerations for well-siting, geophysical methods, drilling techniques, techniques of pumping tests, methods of drawing up water balances, interpretation of chemical data and environment isotopes, as well as irrigation and various aspects of soil science. Special attention is devoted to groundwater investigations which form the basis for practical work in developing countries.
Requirements for Admission:
At least a M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences, Agriculture, Chemistry or Engineering from a recognized university. (B.Sc. holders with suitable professional experience will also be considered.) An authorized certificate of English proficiency at a level of at least 195 on the TOEFL computer scale or an internationally - recognized equivalent. A detailed record of studies and copies of degrees must be included with application forms. A mathematical level that includes: Limits, derivatives and integration of algebraic functions, transcendental functions, plane analytic geometry, linear algebra - vector in n-space, vector functions and their derivatives, partial differentiation, multiple integrals, and solution of ordinary linear differential equations. An official certificate of good health. Professional experience in the field. Preference will be given to those with some practical experience in addition to their academic qualifications. Letters of recommendation from the candidate's place of work or study. Basic computer knowledge.
