REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

1. To be enrolled in 8th semester or higher.

2. To have a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 4.0 or higher.

3. To have approved or currently be enrolled in the subject “Curriculum Design.”

4. To have a B2 level or higher of communicative competence according to the CEFRL.

5. To show payment of social security as beneficiary or contributor.

The Licenciatura en Lengua Inglesa and the Centro Colombo Americano Pereira have joined efforts to provide L.L.I.’s students and future English language teachers with the opportunity to gain working experience in one of the most renowned and the biggest English language institution in the department, the Centro Colombo Americano Pereira. The Teacher Professional Development Award program aims to become a motivational opportunity for outstanding students to perform as English teachers in one of the programs that the Colombo offers. 

 The teacher will also be allowed to participate in special projects or areas such as material design, academic support, etc. while still enrolled at the university. Selected L.L.I.’s students will not only be in real classrooms and learning from experience, but also will have the chance to access to resources and to one of the strongest teacher training programs in the region.
